ARCADIS OST 1 - Project Support

ONP mandated for project management support

Hamburg/Leuven. Parkwind N.V. is a Belgian company founded in 2012 with the conviction that wind energy is key to a sustainable future, with currently 7 Offshore Windfarm projects in its portfolio.
Arcadis Ost 1 (AO1) is an offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea 19 km off the German island Rügen in the federal state Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania with 27 turbines adding 257 megawatts to the country’s expanding offshore capacity. The AO1 project is scheduled for completion in 2023 and is one of Parkwind’s first international projects in close collaboration with German authorities.

Since July 2018 until now ONP Management has been supporting the Parkwind project management team as to achieve agreed project goals in terms of cost, time and quality. Our experts from ONP supported the foundation design and have been responsible for the tender co-ordination of the foundation installation package while providing technical support for the permit amendment process and the interface management. During preparation and execution of the offshore installation works our experts managed the interface to the German permitting authorities providing guidance to the project team and the contractors on site in order to comply with all permit requirements.

KNK Wind thanks ONP for good co-operation

Hamburg. Since April 2016 during development of one of the most technically demanding offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea, the 350 MW Arcadis Ost 1 offshore wind farm project, the experienced ONP team has been supporting the project developer KNK Wind GmbH while gearing up for the first German auction.

With its market-penetrating network ONP has also successfully initiated and conducted negotiations with investors, thereby preparing the business case for a KNK guided participation in the 1st German auction for offshore wind projects.
Finally KNK was in a position to win an investment partner providing the necessary funds for the submission of an offer based on the technical foundation concepts developed by ONP.
